Grace and Breck’s meet cute moment was truly set up by destiny itself! Drawn together from opposite sides of the state, but distance makes no difference when your love is so true and strong. These two were together since the night they met, and that melts our hearts.

How did you meet? Tell us your proposal story!
“My husband and I lived on opposite sides of the state of South Dakota. In August of 2020, I was beginning my sophomore year of college and decided to waitress at the Sturgis motorcycle rally in the Black Hills. While I was out there, I met Breck – my now husband! He sat at one of my restaurant tables with his friends for a drink, and we talked for hours, leaving with plans for an official date the next day. We went on three days of wonderful dates going hiking, to wineries, mini golfing, and on a picnic. We did long-distance for a year before he moved to the east side of the state, where I lived. We dated for 5 years before he proposed last year around Christmas time at Falls Park after we had gone out for dinner together. The waterfalls were lit up with thousands of holiday lights and the weather was beautiful!“

Which Evie Young gown did you fall in love with? & What was your experience like?
“I fell in love with the ESTI gown!
I loved the Lace, the buttons down the front, the removable sleeves, the corset.
I had an appointment at Rhylan Lang, a bridal shop in Omaha, NE, and when we arrived for my appointment they told me that I would either have to wait awhile or be accommodated with trying dresses on in their alterations room due to a water leak that had occurred that morning. I began trying dresses on in the small alterations room and there were a few dresses hanging in there on a rack – the sales lady asked me if there were features of any of them that stood out to me/that I liked. I pulled out the Esti and said it was most like something that I would wear. They ended up moving me to a traditional try-on room pretty quickly and I hadn’t realized that the sales lady brought the Esti dress with us but when I tried it on, I cried instantly. I knew it was the one! She shared with me that it was the only one they had and that it was in that small alterations room because they had been “borrowing” it to see if they wanted to purchase one for the store. If I had never begun my appointment there, I wouldn’t have found the dress of my dreams! The cherry on top was seeing the designer’s last name was Young which is my new last name.”
A truly the-dress-chooses-you moment! Against all odds, her dream dress was still their waiting for her. We love when the stars align for our Evie Brides!

Where did you get married? Tell us about the location, and style of your wedding!
“We got married in the Catholic church 6 days before Christmas. Our prelude music included ‘O come O come Emmanuel’ on cello and we had a variety of deep red florals on display. Our rehearsal was at Monick Yards in Sioux Falls, SD where we had a candlelit dinner with lots of romantic, elegant touches. It was the most perfect day.”
Traditional, initmate and modern with a little Evie edge – we’re obsessed with the feeling of this romantic wedding.
What was your favourite moment from the big day?
Grace’s favourite part of her special day is an idea we have to make a mental note of!
“Following our ceremony while guests were at cocktail hour, my (new) husband and I had a private dinner in the beautiful bridal suite. It allowed us to take a moment to be present with each other after a busy morning/day and share our favorite parts. We also got to enjoy our food without being interrupted and then got to dismiss our guests and greet them for dinner since we had already eaten.”
This singlehandedly solves feedback every bride seems to have after her wedding day – being too busy to enjoy the food. What a sweet, intimate wedding day memory to share with your partner – your first meal as husband and wife.
What advice would you share with future Evie brides?
“Plan intentional moments for your wedding day because it goes so fast.”
